A decade ago, two friends — an accountant and a technologist — kept hearing the same thing from small business owners: payroll was too expensive, providers didn't know their business, and they were still doing half the work themselves. So we built the alternative.
Our Story
A decade ago, we saw small business owners stuck between two bad options: expensive enterprise platforms that treated them like an afterthought, or DIY software that expected them to become payroll experts overnight.
We thought there had to be a better way. So we built one — a purpose-built platform, lean overhead, and savings passed directly to the people who need them most: the business owners.
We grew entirely by referral. No marketing, no sales team, no cold calls. Just payroll done right, month after month, until other business owners started asking who runs your payroll?
